In tandem with the World Health Organization World Hearing Day traditionally held on 3rd March, Operation Ear Drop Kenya (OED-K) will celebrate the day at Langata Road Primary on Thursday 3rd March by carrying out campaign that aims at creating awareness on hearing health under the theme “Childhood hearing loss: act now, here is how”. This theme serves to draw attention towards the growing risk of hearing loss especially among children.
During the World Hearing Day, we will advocate the message on evaluation of hearing of children at risk even at birth and to inform the general public that earlier identification and testing can be done to prevent hearing loss especially among the children.
The event will be open to the public where we will conduct free ear screening, ear care and hearing health talks, consultations, issuing of advocacy materials such as brochures.
Therefore, we are pleased to invite you to participate in this global event.
